-$248 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters.
-$160 million for "paid volunteers" at the Corporation for National and Community Service.
What the hell is a paid volunteer...isn't that just an employee?

The really sad thing is that list only accounts for 19 billion or so, I'm curious as to what the other 880 billion is earmarked for.

This is just so sad. They are just spending money we don't have on shit we really don't need.
We are truly watching the decline of the USA.

Those are just the things that the Republicans think are wasteful. As a stimulus bill I can see why they'd list those. Yeah, some of them seem worthy, but if this bill is supposed to be a stimulus package I can see why they were listed.
Of course, the idea that a stimulus package is going to save the economy is just dumb in the first place. So none of it should go thru IMO.
