Great article explaining the history of gun control in the United States and how at its core it is from the same racist origins as Jim Crow laws, poll taxes etc.
It is funny that in 2011 with a black president we still have such racist laws sitting on the book. Hell we even have a black attorney general who wants to ban even more guns... just sad.
