This makes me think of 80s synth pop at its greatest. I love this song so much and the video is pretty trippy as well.
Elly Jackson, the lead singer, looks like a weird cross between Conan O'Brien, Flock of Seagulls and Tilda Swinton with a dash of Weasly tossed in. Intentionally Androgynous and intentionally awesome at the same time.
The rest of La Roux's music is pretty awesome as well.

This new video is full of strange homages from Tarantino and Caged Heat (a hilarious/horrible sexploitation movie) to MJ and Madonna. MTV broke down some of the big ones here.
Say what you will about her, she has an innate ability to find the spotlight and make people talk.

I was pleasantly surprised to Peyton's Big Damn Band highlighted on CNN. They are a great band to see live if you ever get the chance. I loved seeing them at Bikes, Blues and BBQ and at the Beaumont in KC.
