Yeah I saw that, the main problem is people putting little infants in there that are only days old.
I'm slightly amused that these are being recalled after all the flack the "traditional" baby carriers got for suspending children by their crotch. At least hanging them by their crotch isn't going to suffocate them unless your child has some severely malformed anatomy.

The problem I have with most infant recalls is that the problems can often be avoided by paying attention to the kid. I have no problem recalling things with little parts that easily brake, or have lead paint, etc. but some responsibility has to fall on the parents' shoulders.

Yeah, I think most people put their kids in those slings and just let them sleep while they ignore them which is it not the intention of the product.

But, that is the reason for most baby deaths these days anyways. People who don't pay enough attention...of course, crap happens and you can't watch your baby 24-7, so I am not totally blaming parents. It seems like everyday someone is charged with putting their baby into the oven or something crazy to keep from having to watch them which is just crazy.

Do an image search for death baby sling on Google. Almost all the images that pop up are now of this thing.
