24 Soldiers killed themselves in January 6 times as many as last January. The crazy thing is 2008 was a bad year for suicides, so it looks like 2009 will be even worse.
The most OMGWTFBBQ part of the story is this bit here:
"The anti-depressants prescribed to soldiers can have side effects that include suicidal thoughts."
You read that right. The pills to keep you from thinking about killing yourself have a side effect of thinking about killing yourself.
